About

“When I would say I am a singer many times people would say to me;

“I wish I could sing”

“I can’t sing, I was told as a child that I was tone deaf”

“I wasn’t allowed into the choir”

These statements were often made with a feeling of loss, of not being good enough, of being silenced.

Being told you cannot sing can also affect your feelings of visibility in the world and can shut you down.   Finding your voice, your own voice, is like finding a piece of yourself that has been lost.

Our bodies can become more visible.  In accessing and rediscovering the repressed or frozen voice, you can engage the whole body.

Anne believes that Everyone Can Sing, Everyone Has a Sound.

Did you know that only about 3% of the world population cannot sing?

Therefore, 97% of the world can sing

No matter what you were told as a child you do have a range where you can sing.

When Anne realised that about 20% – 30% of the people she met while singing told her they could not sing she decided to do something about it.

Anne spent years researching what happened and invited clients who would like to sing and thought they couldn’t to work with her.

The result is this book where the clients’ experiences are shared and the realisation that they can sing.

Not only can they sing, but some have very big voices that were never explored when they were younger.

Some have joined choirs which they would never had thought they could do.

Singing is now a part of their lives.

Not only is singing a part of their lives, their speaking voices are stronger and they feel that finally they are being heard.
